FoxPro is a programming language which is based on data and procedure which is used for generating high performance client/server, interactive desktop and distributed client database web application with a database file. Sometimes one may face problems in downloading database due to database corruption. These problems may occur for different reasons such as sudden shut down, virus infection, database header corruption, etc. such problems can be tackle with a proper recovery software.
When one is working with MS visual FoxPro, then it is obvious that a large database have been generated. Throughout test application, if one tries to download the customer database by using “misuse”, but it fails to access and an error message is displayed as:
“Database table C:\…Could not open \CUSTOMER.DBF.To try to locate the database owner or delete the link (and freedomTable); select “Cancel” delete.
When ‘delete’ or ‘locate’ is selected by tapping cancel, it terminates the application.
Reason:
Major cause for this error is the database file corruption, which does not allow using the database.
Solution:
One must open the table in order to open database and try to solve the accurate error that occurs when a corrupt database is opened. In case it is not applicable, then look for updated backup. If it is applicable, then restore the corrupt DBF database. If still not able to repair the database, then one can use database repair tool software.
Most repair tools are efficient in repairing issues in MS Visual FoxPro 6.0 to version 9.0, dBase III to v. And they are well-suited with Vista, Windows 7, Server 2003, XP and 2000.
